  • In order to provide you with safe and secure treatment, we will always meet through your client portal via Simple Practice. Prior to your first session, you will receive a link to set up your client portal, which allows us to communicate via secure messaging and HIPAA compliant video calls.

Due to state requirements, clients must be in the state of Maryland at the time of our appointment.

  • At this time my services are virtual.

  • Individual therapy sessions are $200 for 50 minutes.

The Simply Skillful Skills Coaching program is individualized and condensed, giving you valuable resources in a short amount of time. The cost of each skills session is $310. Because this service is not clinical or medical, it is not submissible to insurance for reimbursement.

  • Yes! Great news: even though Simply Skillful Therapy an out-of-network practice, you can still use your mental health benefits. Most insurance plans cover therapy to some degree, even when you see a provider outside their network.

Each month you will be able to access a Superbill in your client portal. You can submit this directly to your insurance company to request reimbursement based on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.

Insurance is a lot—but you don’t have to figure it out alone. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, I’m happy to help you think it through during your consultation.

  • Utilizing insurance can have it’s benefits. However, many individuals elect to forgo using insurance of a number of reasons. You may not want your insurance company to maintain records of your mental health. Insurance companies require that you receive a psychiatric diagnosis in order to receive coverage, and they get to decide if you are “sick enough” to require therapy. In the same way, they can review your private health information and decide you no longer meet their criteria for care and may stop providing coverage at any point. Many prefer to be in charge of how and when they receive care.

  • During your first appointment we take time to get to know each other a little better. You will get a sense of my therapy style and personality while I ask questions that will help me better understand your history and current experiences. You are encouraged to ask your own questions, share your expectations and goals for therapy, and express any concerns you may have about the process.

  • The length of therapy depends on what you want to work on and how deep you want to go. The goal isn’t to keep you in therapy forever - it’s to help you get to a place where you feel more confident, equipped and in control. We’ll check in on your progress regularly and adjust as needed. There is no clear timeline for all individuals. We go at your pace.
