Therapy for women who are burned out and anxious in Maryland

Are you exhausted from constantly overthinking?

It’s like you can never quiet your brain. Maybe you notice your focus is deteriorating or perhaps you’re yelling and on edge every day. You may be trying to solve problems that have not happened yet or simply find your thoughts stuck on a loop. Perhaps you’re feeling like you’re going crazy!

Anxiety could be showing up in your life mentally and physically. From people pleasing, perfectionism, and irritability to body aches, fatigue, and even hormone imbalances. Sometimes our anxiety is more obvious, such as panic attacks and laying awake at night for hours. Other times it’s the quiet self doubt only we can hear and that sense of always being on edge.

I’m here for you.

You’re allowed to slow down and speak up for what you need.

You deserve it. It may feel impossible now, but you can get back in the drivers seat of your emotions and behaviors. You can clear your head and show up confidently. You can live a life without suffering.

Here’s what we’ll do together

Person centered and skills based therapy - putting you in charge with support from someone who believes in you.

Therapy with me helps you work through anxiety in 3 phases:

  • We start by identify the root of the problems you’re experiencing, target decreasing your vulnerabilities to emotions, and uncovering the patterns you are stuck in.

  • With increased understanding comes increased ability to validate and experiences your emotions. With support, you will begin to feel your feelings a new way that keeps you in control and teaches you how to loosen anxiety’s grip.

  • Throughout the journey, you learn and practice skills to decrease overthinking, avoidance, conflict, people pleasing, and overwhelm.

I’ll help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to anxiety comes from a place of empthay and understanding. I know what it’s like and I know what helps. I see you showing up here, and I am looking forward to watching you grow.

  • While I am pro-medication to support our mental health needs, medication alone is not the most effective treatment for anxiety. In fact, the most impactful approach to decreasing anxiety is a combination of medication and therapy. Many of my clients have found medication gives them the extra boost needed to fully engage with therapy and make the most of our time together. Always discuss your concerns and interest in medications with a psychiatrist.
